Air conditioning companies in Tampa Florida are obviously very common,
and most people know the basics when it comes to AC. However, it's
always better to be more informed - so here are some things you may not
know which will give you a better understanding.
AIR CONDITIONERS REMOVE HEAT THROUGH REFRIGERATION
Refrigeration is a major part of AC and it is actually this that removes
heat for your comfort. Refrigerant is the chemical transfer agent that
absorbs heat from the air and expels it outdoors to keep your home cool.
AIR FILTERS DO MORE THAN JUST FILTER AIR
As well as blocking particulates – dust and other pollutants that
merely creates poor quality air – a good filter can also block allergens.
You can see, therefore, that good air filtration can be a great health
benefit to you and your family.
AC SYSTEMS DEHUMIDIFY
Air conditioning systems remove moisture as they cool the air. The coil
in the AC system condenses the air hitting it and this excess moisture
is removed along with the heat. But beware – AC systems use a great
deal of energy when dehumidifying, so a dedicated dehumidifier may be
necessary to do that particular job more effectively.
ROUTINE MAINTENANCE IS ESSENTIAL
As a very minimum, an AC system should have routine maintenance at least
once every year. However, in Florida, where most systems are subject to
much heavier use due to the climate, a minimum of twice every year should
be the norm. Without this regular maintenance, excess wear and tear take
its toll on each system, and, much like not replacing the engine oil or
doing regular checks on tires and brakes on a car, breakdowns will occur
eventually if little or no attention is paid to it. So, a general rule
is to have a routine check-up on your AC system every 6 months. This preventative
measure should be relatively inexpensive and will keep your system in
really good running order. A little spent every six months will be well
worth it to give you full peace of mind and the most comfortable AC experience.
